This is from last weekend. Mark and I were out snowshoeing on a beautiful day. Didn't need our crampons, used snowshoes the entire 10 miles. We were able to summit both Hancocks. That makes 16 winter 4,000 footers. Only 32 more to go!! But with winter coming to a close, we will have to wait until next year to knock off a few more.

Shenandoah National Park
Here are some scenes from Shenandoah National Park. The AT runs through it so of course we had to hike a bit of it, as the marker indicates. The waterfalls were great. Hiking up Old Rag was fun. Lots of tight spaces of rock formations to climb through. Unfortunately it was a very cloudy and foggy day, so no views from the top. We did snag a view of what we climbed the next day from a different part of the park. Would love to get to see all the National Parks in the country. This makes number 16!!
